Exodontia-associated bacteremia in horses characterized by next generation sequencing

Abstract: Bacteremia resulting from dental surgery is increasingly recognized as a health risk, especially in older and immunocompromised patients. Dentistry-associated bacteremic showering can lead to remote infections, as exemplified by valvular endocarditis.
