Exotic glueball 0± states in QCD sum rules

Abstract: The lowest dimension three-gluon currents that couple to the exotic 0 ±− glueballs have been constructed using the helicity formalism. Based on the constructed currents, we obtain new QCD SRs that have been used to extract the masses and the decay constants of the scalar exotic 0 ±− glueballs. We estimate the masses for the scalar state and for the pseudoscalar state to be m+ = 9.8 +1.3 −1.4 GeV and m− = 6.8

“…The η − -like 0 −− glueball has been a subject of contemption among QCD sum rule practitionners with Pimikov et al [46] placing it at an unassailable 7 ± 1 GeV while Qiao and Tang [47] put it at 3.8 ± 0.1, in line with other three-gluon states [48].…”

“…In other words, they are exotic quantum numbers in the quark model. However, these exotic quantum numbers can be reached in other configurations such as hybrids [3][4][5][6][7], glueballs [8,9] and tetraquarks, which are not forbidden by QCD itself. Tetraquarks (qqqq) are bound states of diquarks (qq) and antidiquarks (qq).…”

“…Theoretically, there are several approaches in studying glueballs. One can mention phenomenological models mimicking certain nonperturbative QCD aspects, such as the flux tube model [3,4], constituent models [1,[5][6][7][8][9], holographic approaches [10][11][12], approaches based on QCD Sum Rules [13][14][15][16][17].…”
