Experiment and Research on the Influence of Mineral Admixture on Cement-Based Material Performance

Abstract: Cement mortar as the basic material and the fly ash and silicon fume as the research object, experiment and research were operated through adjusting the admixture replacing dosage and changing the mixture ratio of silica fume and fly ash. By testing the fluidity and strength and data analysis and discussion, some conclusions are drawn from the analysis, such as: fly ash makes the fluidity increasing with the admixture replacing dosage below 30%, and the fluidity declines with the mixture ratio of silica fume a… Show more

“…Owning to its pozzolanic activity and micro-aggregate effect, silica fume was widely used in construction industry as a mineral admixture to cement [1][2][3]. There is 85% of amorphous SiO 2 or more in silica fume, which may cause secondary reactions with Ca(OH) 2 produced in cement hydration [4,5].…”

“…On the basis of earlier performed investigations of building mixtures with modifying additives [6][7][8][9], the positive effect is achieved mainly by controlling the process of structure formation and obtaining a predetermined microstructure of hardened cement paste of building composite. Therefore, the study of optimal content of modifying additive for the production of cement foam concrete of natural hardening was conducted on cement paste and hardened cement paste.…”
