“…Gravimetric Measurements Table 1 summarizes the percentage inhibition efficiency (IE%) values acquired from the weight loss techniques at various RCF extract concentrations at 303 K. It was evident from Table 1 that IE% increased with increasing inhibitor concentrations. As to other plants studied and described elsewhere, those highest IE% in the same acidic medium were: of Aloes extract-77.0% [30]; of Centrosema pubescens extract -74.91% [31]; of Nypa fruticans Wurmb-75.11% [32]; of Bambusa arundinacea-72.84% [33]; of Allium sativum-76.47% [34]; of Daniella Oliverri gum-72.36% [35]; and of exudate gum from Acacia trees-77.80% [36]. In the present study, the IE% at 750 ppm of the RCF extract was 80% which is the highest when compared to other plants mentioned above.…”

“…Corrosion inhibition activity of Allium sativum [45] extract has been investigated for mild steel and the maximum efficiency was found to be 76.47% in 1M HCl. Sweet potato tuber (PMS) [46] extract, obtained with solvent n-hexane has been reported to effectively inhibit the corrosion of mild steel in 1M HCl and the maximum efficiency of 64.26% was obtained at a maximum concentration of 0.7 g/L.…”

“…Theoretical studies are an important guide for experimental studies [41][42][43][44][45]. Because theoretical studies before experimental studies are used to discover molecules with higher anti-oxidant properties.…”
