Experimental data for synthesis of bi-metalized chitosan particle for attenuating of an azo dye from wastewater

Abstract: In this data article, we introduce data acquired from new adsorbent, bi-metalized chitosan particle that is successfully synthesized and applied to remove the orange II dye, an azo dye, from textile wastewater. The adsorbent was meso- and macro-porous material with BET surface area of 12.69 m2/g and pHzpc 6.6. The simulated textile-wastewater can be significantly treated using a relatively low quantity of the adsorbent. Overall, the use of bi-metalized chitosan particle can be considered a promising method for… Show more

“…Then, the obtained Chitin was mixed in sodium hydroxide 50% w/w for 2 h and placed on a stirrer at 100 °C. Finally, the obtained materials were chitosan and used for arsenic adsorption experiments [6] , [8] , [9] , [10] , [11] , [12] .…”

“…After the sample reached equilibrium, the sample was passed through a 0.42 µm- filter, and the final concentration of the contaminant was determined. The amounts of contaminant adsorbed per gram of SOB, q e (mg/g), were obtained as follows [3] , [4] : where C 0 and C e (mg/L) are contaminant concentrations at initial and equilibrium, respectively. M (g/L) denote the dry mass of SOB in the solution.…”

“…Value of the data A facile method for modification of the biochar Tamarix hispida by lanthanum chloride is provided in this dataset compare to other biomass/adsorbents reported in the literature [1] , [2] , [3] . The data may be useful for future researches that aim to glass factory wastewater treatment.…”
