Expiratory Asynchrony in Proportional Assist Ventilation

Abstract: One of the proposed advantages of proportional assist ventilation (PAV) has been the automatic synchrony between the end of the patient's inspiratory effort and the ventilator cycle (i.e., expiratory synchrony).
