Since the early 2000s, many private companies, public-private coalitions, and governments have committed to remove deforestation from commodity supply chains. Despite these zero-deforestation commitments (ZDCs), high rates of deforestation persist and may even be increasing. On the upside, a few region- and commodity-specific ZDCs have contributed to reductions by up to hundreds of thousands of hectares of deforestation, with mixed evidence on associated leakage. ZDCs have also spurred progress in monitoring, traceability, and awareness of deforestation. On the downside, as currently implemented, supply chain initiatives only cover a small share of tropical deforestation. Government- and company-led ZDCs are just two components of broader policy mixes aimed at reducing deforestation. To be more impactful, ZDCs needs to cover entire biomes, supply bases of companies, and export and domestic markets, with special attention not to exclude marginal producers. Temanggung Regency is one of the areas that distributes the largest tobacco products in Central Java Province. The strategic location on the slopes of a mountain makes tobacco plants suitable to be used as a source of agriculture in the region. The large number of agricultural lands spread across Temanggung Regency provides abundant agricultural products. But in reality, the development of this tobacco farmer business has experienced many problems, such as unstable selling prices, decreased farmer productivity, and changing harvest times. This research study aims to analyze the factors that influence the income of tobacco farmers in Temanggung Regency. This study uses primary data through direct observation and direct interviews with tobacco farmers using questionnaires and secondary data as research support. The results of this study indicate that the marketing of tobacco produced by farmers has several channels such as warehouses, brokers, factories, tengquats, and small traders. Suggestions for further research by adding marketing margin analysis and added value analysis to enrich the research discussion.

A produção de infraestruturas é, sobretudo, uma forma de criar orientações, organizações espaciais e modos de conectividade, servindo como um impulsionador da movimentação, na circulação de mercadorias, dinheiro e informações. Por isso, as duas últimas décadas foram marcadas por fluxos de capitais, políticas e planejamentos estatais, por meio de investimentos em infraestruturas, notadamente na América Latina, África e Ásia. O Brasil foi o país onde houve significativos aportes em infraestrutura, na área de energia, transportes e comunicação. Contudo, com hidrelétricas e a produção de complexos portuários, como fontes mais materializadas de políticas e ações no Brasil, em particular na Amazônia Legal. Face a isso, o artigo tem o objetivo de mapear e analisar a expansão, a territorialização de infraestruturas portuárias no Brasil e na Amazônia Legal, entre 1993 e 2022; assim como objetiva identificar e analisar os setores e agentes econômicos que promoveram tal territorialização, notadamente na Amazônia Legal.
