Background and Objective:The main theme of this article is to discuss the importance of Just in time (JIT) Methodology and its advantages in health care quality management business -a Scoping review. Methods:The Author of this article has chosen the scoping review of the 37 articles and the websites to discuss details about the Just in time methodology. Scoping review focuses more on to discuss the 10 benefits/advantages of the JIT methodology and the 10 steps to perform JIT methodology. The author has chosen subject and words to find out the which organization should use the JIT methodology and some of the disadvantages of the JIT methodology. Articles are specially selected from the PubMed NIH website focusing only on healthcare JIT methodology.Results: There are four tables providing details about the 10 steps of the JIT methodology and its benefits/advantages. Remaining two tables provide the details about who should use the JIT methodology and its disadvantages. Author has provided the data analysis and diagrammatic presentation by using SPSS software. Four diagrams show the bar charts and the frequencies of the 30 articles of the steps, advantages, disadvantages and who should use the JIT methodology. Conclusion:To conclude, just in time methodology (JIT) is a lean methodology to provide economic comfort to the organization. JIT has proven that it could save lot of wastes for the organization and provided affective savings for the organization. The method to get the benefit is to order only what is needed and do not waste the time and money in inventory stocks. Toyota motors, Apple, McDonald and others are successful organizations taking huge benefits from the JIT methodology from decades. Small businesses should practice JIT methodology, which is convenient to use and sensible, easy to implement in the organizations.

Purpose The analyze phase of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) project is an important phase where the project heads and organizational directors need to select the critical issues for further improvements. The present work is primarily focused on analyze phase of LSS project to prioritize the critical to quality (CTQ) in a particular case industry. Design/methodology/approach The CTQ prioritization is being done based on the five evaluation criteria found from the literature. The weights of the criteria are determined through the modified digital logic (MDL) method. The identified CTQs in assembly section of case industry have been ranked through the gray relational analysis (GRA) under fuzzy environment. The results of the study have been validated using fuzzy VlseKriterijumska Optimisacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR). Findings It is found that the “cost” criterion is the most significant among other criteria with MDL weight of 0.3. Through fuzzy-GRA, out of ten identified CTQs, non-availability of rack system is found to be the most critical issue in assembly section of case industry. The perceptions of industrial manager and production head of case industry are strongly in favor of the obtained results and have implemented the suggested solutions. Originality/value To sustain in the competitive environment and produce quality product at right time, organizations need to control their CTQs as per their criticality. For this, the decision-making becomes quite complex to select the most critical factors because of the fascinating nature of various criteria and sub-criteria. The present study is the first attempt that has implemented the multi-criteria decision-making approach in analyze phase of LSS project.

Impact analysis of COVID-19 outbreak on cold supply chains of perishable products using a SWARA based MULTIMOORA approach

The present study aims to analyze the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak resulting in Cold Supply Chain (CSC) disruptions and shed new light on the potential opportunities yielded from the pandemic. In addition, the work also aims to explore the most appropriate strategies to minimize CSC disruption due to the COVID-19 outbreak and to repurpose to create conditions as they were before the pandemic. The impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on CSCs has been analyzed theoretically and empirically, considering seven broader assessment criteria. To diminish the disruption due to COVID-19, eight of the most appropriate remedial strategies have been proposed in this study. A new hierarchical model was developed to articulate the analysis and consolidate various issues pertinent to CSC disruption caused by COVID-19 in one frame. The developed model was analyzed using a hybrid approach of SWARA-based MULTIMOORA methods. The SWARA method has been used to analyze the significance of considered assessment criteria, while the MULTIMOORA method has been used to analyze the mutual importance of proposed strategies. The findings of this paper show that 'structural impact' and 'business and financial impact' are the two most affected traits of CSC during the COVID-19 pandemic throughout the world. Meanwhile, the strategies 'development of safe and healthier work scenario for partners of the cold chain' and 'successful monitoring and implementation of COVID-19 protocols' are the two most important proposed strategies that might help management to mitigate the influence of the COVID-19 outbreak on CSCs. Findings of this research enable CSC managers and policymakers to develop potential and robust plans for their operations to respond to disruptive situations like COVID-19 and turn them into opportunities for organizational growth and improving the health of society.
