Exploring social relations for the intrusion detection in ad hoc networks

Abstract: We proposed a novel intrusion detection system in mobile ad hoc networks using the social network analysis approach, which is different from the conventional ones. Our social based IDS utilizes explored social relations for anomaly detections, which can capture and represent similar network statistics as those used in data mining based intrusion detection systems.
