Expression pattern of AtABCC13/MRP11 reveals developmental, hormonal, and nutritional regulations

Abstract: International audienceATP binding cassette (ABC) proteins constitute one of the largest families of transporters. In Arabidopsis thaliana, over 100 genes encoding ABC transporters have been identified. Here, we described the expression pattern of AtABCC13/MRP11, a member of the multidrug resistance associated protein MRP/ABCC subfamily, previously uncharacterized. The histochemical analysis of transgenic Arabidopsis harboring AtABCC13 promoter- β-glucuronidase gene fusion shows that the AtABCC13 expression w… Show more

“…Earlier a PDR1-like gene was shown to be repressed by ABA treatment (Zhang et al, 2013 ) likewise in our case TaABCC6 and TaABCC13 were also repressed (Figure 5 ). Most of the wheat ABCC genes were highly induced by GA 3 , which is supported by previous expression pattern observed for AtABCC13 / ABCC11 for this hormone (Guizani et al, 2014 ). The differential expression response of wheat ABCC genes for hormone treatment will help in assimilating clues regarding their possible roles in integrated pathways that are involved in multiple abiotic stresses.…”

“…Furthermore, TaABCC3, a prime candidate for plant genetic engineering to enhance tolerance, was induced substantially by GA3 [66]. Similar results were also observed in other studies (AtABCC13/ABCC11) [69]. ABCC genes play a key role in integrated pathways under multiple abiotic stresses, and the effects of some other signaling molecules (i.e.…”
