Extraction and Spectrophotometric Determination of Palladium(II) with N‐P‐Chlorophenylbenzohydroxamic Acid

Abstract: A rapid extraction and spectrophotometric determination of palladium with N-p-chlorophenylbenzohydroxamic acid (N-p-CI-BHA) is described. The palladium forms an orange coloured complex with N-p-CI-BHA at pH 3.0. It is extracted with chlorobenrene and has a maximum absorbance at 430 nm. Its molar absorption coefficient is 7 . 0~ lo2 1 mol-' cm-l.
