Extraction of anthocyanins from haskap using cold plasma‐assisted enzyme

Abstract: BACKGROUND Haskap berries (Lonicera caerulea L.) are rich in anthocyanins. Cold plasma‐assisted enzyme method (CPEM) is an innovative method for green extraction of anthocyanins, which was optimized by an artificial neural network‐genetic algorithm (ANN‐GA) to maximize the yield. In this study, seven factors were screened using by Plackett–Burman design based on single‐factor experiments and optimized by ANN‐GA. RESULTS The results showed that the maximum total anthocyanin content (TAC, 42.45 ± 0.25 g cyanidin… Show more

“…Pulsed electric at 3 levels of electric eld intensity (3000, 5000, and 7000 V/cm) and three levels of pulse numbers (50, 75, and 100) were applied. Cold plasma was carried out at 3 levels of voltage (60, 70, and 80 kV) and 3 levels of time (1, 3, and 5 min); also, enzymatic method, which leads to the best results enzyme concentration (0.5, 1, and 1.5%) and temperature (40,50, and 60 ° C), was performed. The best conditions for pulse electric eld were (7000 V/cm, 100), for cold plasma pre-treatment were (80 kV, 5 min) and for enzymatic pre-treatment were (1.5%, 60°C).…”
