EXTRACTION OF QUERCETIN FROM POLYGONUM HYDROPIPER L. BY SUBCRITICAL WATER

Abstract: The new method of quercetin extraction from Polygonum hydropiper L. by subcritical water was developed. High performance liquid chromatography was used for identification and quantification of flavonoids in the extract. The new method is environmentally friendly and more effective (7.6-times) than traditional flavonoids extraction methods using expensive and toxic organic solvents.

“…Soil samples were taken annually and prepared for chemical analysis in accordance with the requirements (GOST, 1986;ISO, 2005). To extract BaP from soil and plant samples, we used the method of extraction with subcritical water (Lekar et al, 2014;. Whole barley plants grown in the control background soil were used as a plant sample.…”

“…Polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are usually present in water, air, soil, food and living organisms and persist in the environment for a long time (El-Shahawi et al, 2010). PAHs are relatively inert compounds that are resistant to various degradation processes, and therefore it is usually assumed that they are stable in the environment (Liu et al, 2005). Plants are an integral component of terrestrial ecosystems and are exposed to the entire group of pollutants, and almost 45% of all PAHs released into the environment end up in plants (Eisler, 1987;Huang et al, 2004).…”

“…Chemicals: Ketamine (Rotexmedica, Germany), xylazine (Westberg, Netherland), gabapentin (Dr. Abidi Pharmaceutical Co., Iran), and Naloxone (Kaspian Tamin Co., Iran) were purchased. The hydroalcoholic extract of C. cretica was prepared by dissolving it in distilled water at 100 or 300 mg/mL [16].…”

“…In this context, water and carbon dioxide in the subcritical fluid conditions act as traditional organic solvents, such as methanol, chloroform, and so on 12,13 . The organic and organo‐mineral complex could be extracted from sediments, soil, and plants as a result of using water extraction methods in the sub‑ and supercritical conditions 12,14–16 …”

“…12,13 The organic and organo-mineral complex could be extracted from sediments, soil, and plants as a result of using water extraction methods in the sub-and supercritical conditions. 12,[14][15][16] Considering the aforementioned examples and wide range of organic substances and mineral elements available in raw chicken manure, 17 the aim of the research was an assessment of the subcritical water in the processing of fresh chicken manure. Notably, we evaluated subcritical conditions in order to derivatize organic acids, such as humic acid (HA) and fulvic acids (FAs), from raw chicken manure.…”
