Extraction, Separation Isolations and Phytochemical Investigation of the Insulin Plant ‘Costuspictus’

Abstract: Costuspictus (spiral ginger) commonly known as 'Insulin plant' was introduced from Mexico to India (kerala) very recently. The literature survey reveals that the fresh raw leaves should be consumed for anti-diabetic. Despite the preliminary studies the detailed phytochemical investigation has not been reported so far.
