Extrusion/intrusion structure as a fatigue indicator for uniaxial and multiaxial loading

Abstract: The paper describes the experiments aimed at the extension of the method early proposed for the uniaxial fatigue monitoring to the multiaxial modes of loading. The common denominator for both methods approach is based on the possibility of computer‐aided optical analysis of extrusion/intrusion structure, called often surface deformation relief, to be used for quantitative assessment of accumulated fatigue damage and remaining life. Experimental data obtained under the different modes of loading are presented a… Show more

“…Compared with the general search method, the calculation amount is much less, and the accuracy is higher. 3 Figure 1 shows the automatic positioning algorithm for human joints. Generally, the relationship between two images ( ) F X and ( ) G X with translation, rotation and various distortions and distortions relative to the same scene can be expressed as:…”

“…Detailed description of 2D and 3D images and features of the deformation relief formed on the alclad aluminum alloys have been described in the works. [1][2][3][4] Axial loading, bending, and multiaxial loading were considered at the wide range of stress amplitude and stress ratio, with emphasis on the stress-strain conditions close to those, which the bearing structural elements of aircraft meet in operation.…”
