Fabrication of ZnO/CNTs for Application in CO2 Sensor at Room Temperature

Abstract: Thin films of ZnO and ZnO/carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are prepared and used as CO2 gas sensors. The spray pyrolysis method was used to prepare both ZnO and ZnO/CNTs films, with CNTs first prepared using the chemical vapor deposition method (CVD). The chemical structure and optical analyses for all the prepared nanomaterials were performed using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transformer infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and UV/Vis spectrophotometer devices, respectively. According to the XRD analysis, the crystal si… Show more

“…The morphologies of the prepared PMT, roll‐GO, and PMT/roll‐GO are confirmed using the SEM analyses as shown in Figure 2A‐C, respectively. These morphological analyses are confirmed using the Image J software 27 as shown in Figure 2D‐F, respectively. From Figure 2A,D, PMT has a homogeneous porous network surface.…”

“…The device The behavior of the Na-CdS optoelectronic device depends on R, D, and external quantum efficiency (EQE). 39 The R value 40 depends on the current density values in light and dark, also it depends on the light power as shown in Equation ( 4). 1 While, the D value is calculated from Equation (5), 41 in which D value depends on R values and the electron charge (e = 1.60*10 À19 C), dark current J d , and the surface area of the sample.…”

“…The morphology of the prepared PANI is shown in Figure 2 a, moreover the software Image J program modeling [ 28 ] is shown in Figure 2 c. From both figures, the formation of a homogeneous nonporous surface appears clearly. The great roughness and small porousness in the PANI surface qualify it for composite well with additional nanomaterials.…”
