Factors Which Influence Incident Hypertension on Pre-Elderly

Disasters can occur at any time in any part of the world with impacts on individuals, families and communities resulting in threats to the quality of life. Preparedness is the activities and steps taken in advance to ensure an effective response to the impact of a disaster. It takes the community in increasing preparedness for disasters by providing family-based education about disaster preparedness. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of family-based education in improving disaster preparedness. This research is a pre-experimental study with a post-test and pre-test one group design. The population of this research is families who live in areas prone to volcanic disasters. Samples were taken as many as 37 families with simple random sampling technique. The independent variable is family-based education and the dependent variable is disaster preparedness. The research data were analyzed to determine the difference in disaster preparedness during the pre-test and post-test using a paired t-test. The difference in the mean value of disaster preparedness before and after the intervention was statistically significant. The p-value was smaller than alpha (0.00 < 0.05), it can be concluded that family-based education is effective to improve disaster preparedness. Family-based education can help and encourage families to explore their strengths so that they can improve disaster preparedness.

Analysis of Iron (Fe) Level In Alkaline Water in Makale District, Tana Toraja Regency

Alkaline water is drinking water that can be drunk directly because it meets the requirements for drinking water quality. Alkaline water has a pH above 7 so this water is alkaline which can neutralize the acidity in the body. This study aims to determine how much iron (Fe) is dissolved in alkaline water. The initial stage of this research is to obtain data on people who consume alkaline water as their daily drinking water. Furthermore, the sampling used purposive sampling method, based on the sample criteria, namely alkaline water treatment which sourced from well water, rain water and PDAM water. The last step is to analyze the levels of iron (Fe) with laboratory tests at the Center for Environmental Health Engineering and Disease Control Class 1 Makassar. The time of the study began in July 2022. The sample of this study was taken as many as 3 samples. This research method uses an Inductively Couple Plasma spectrometer to determine the level of iron (Fe) in alkaline water. Based on the laboratory tests that have been carried out, the results of the three samples did not exceed the normal limit set by the Minister of Health, namely 0.3 mg/L.

Dementia is a syndrome in which there is a decline in memory, thinking, behavior and ability to carry out daily activities. Several studies have shown a link between the development of cognitive impairment and dementia and educational attainment, and lifestyle-related risk factors, such as physical inactivity, tobacco use, unhealthy diet and harmful use of alcohol. Dementia can be identified using the MMSE ( Mini Mental State Examination ). Furthermore, certain medical conditions are associated with an increased risk of developing dementia, including hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, obesity and depression. The ideal cardiovascular health score, also referred to as Life's Simple 7, consists of four health behavior indicators, and three biologics. analysis using a cross-sectional design , which was carried out at the Hajj Hospital, December 2020 - March 2021 and involved 70 respondents. Data obtained by medical records and interviews. Based on the results of the study, the results of the somer's d correlation test obtained a value of p = 0.000 (p <0.05) so that a significant relationship was found between the Health of the Cardiovascular System and the Incidence of Dementia at the Age of 50-60 Years . There is a relationship between the health of the cardiovascular system and the incidence of dementia at the age of 50-60 years.
