Faecalibacter bovis sp. nov., isolated from cow faeces

Abstract: A Gram-stain-negative, non-spore-forming, yellow-pigmented, aerobic, pleomorphic rod-shaped bacterium, designated ZY171143T, was isolated from faeces of a cow with diarrhoea in Wenshan, Yunnan Province, south-west China and its taxonomic position was studied. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain ZY171143T belonged to the family Weeksellaceae and was most closely related to the only speci… Show more

“…The fatty acids of strain ZY201115 T and the four reference type strains, including M. bovis CCUG 2133 T , M. ovis CCUG 354 T , M. lacunata CCUG 4441 T and M. cuniculi CCUG 2154 T , were analysed at the China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center (CGMCC, Beijing, PR China) by using the Sherlock Microbial Identification System version A 5.05 (midi) following midi's instructions, and identified using the TSBA6.0 database [47]. The polar lipids of strain ZY201115 T and the four reference type strains were identified at a lipid identification company (Profleader Biotech Co.,Ltd., Shanghai, PR China) by using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole-Orbitrap mass spectrometry system (Thermo Fisher Scientific), with the relative quantification method described by Li et al [48]. The respiratory quinones of strain ZY201115 T and the four reference type strains were identified at the CGMCC with the method described previously [49], and the Shewanella schlegelianan (CGMCC 1.8480) was chosen as the reference strain.…”
