Background: The Minister of Manpower stated that the construction sector contributed to the highest number of work accidents. The cause of construction-sector work-accidents as much as 40% came from unsafe behavior from workers. Unsafe behavior is described as the possibility of individuals not following safety standards, procedures, instructions, and criteria specific to the work that the organization applies to. According to a preliminary study, 6 out of 10 workers (60%) have unsafe behavior while working. Purpose: To find out the risk factors of unsafe behavior in construction workers at the Cartenz apartment construction project in Tower D, PT. Nusa Raya Cipta, Tangerang in 2021. Method: A cross-sectional design was used in this present study. The population and sample included 42 workers that were used as total sampling technique. The primary data were collected by questionnaire, whereas the analysis was done with the Chi-square test in bivariate analysis. Result: The analysis showed that 40.5% workers had unsafe behavior, 45.2% had poor knowledge, 31% showed bad attitudes, 52.4% had new work period, and 42.9% had poor supervision. Bivariate analysis indicated that knowledge (p-value 0.016), attitude (p-value 0.028), work period (p-value 0.004), and supervision (p-value 0.041) are associated with unsafe behavior. Conclusion: The risk factors of unsafe behavior in construction workers in Tangerang include knowledge, work period, attitudes, and supervision.

Objective: Occupational accidents and diseases in Indonesia are still a scourge because they not only cause minor and serious accidents, but often result in fatalities. The same occupational accidents and diseases’ would seem to be happening in the coal mining business sector. According to the Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial Indonesia, 234,370 cases of work accidents and work-related illnesses occurred in 2021, of which the mining sector contributed 6,565 cases. Collaboration between companies, workers and local governments in the management of work accident reporting needs special attention so that similar incidents do not occur in the future.Material and Methods: This literature review supports the researchers hypothesis or belief in disclosing that there is an increasingly open space for collaboration between companies, workers and local governments in accident reporting management to reduce accidents. The literature review search term used is work accident reporting sourced from Google Scholar, National Library of Indonesia, PubMed, and other sources in the 2017-2022 period.Results:This literature review found a number of facts that companies have an obligation as stipulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia No. 03 of 1998 concerning Accident Reporting and Investigation Procedures to report every work accident and work-related illness that occurs both periodically and specifically to the competent authority. Likewise, workers have the responsibility to report any accidents and potential hazards found in the workplace to the occupational safety and health officer. The Regional Government is no exception, which is a regulator and at the same time supervises companies in carrying out their business activities.Conclusion: To reduce workplace accidents requires diligent and constructive cooperation between the business managers, the workers, and the government regulators to support a zero-accident work environment.

The risk of accidents and occupational diseases is difficult to avoid, one of which is in fabrication companies because workers are in direct contact with objects and heavy equipment during work. One of the work areas that is at high risk of accidents and occupational diseases is the blasting and painting area. The objectives of this study are: (1) to identify potential hazards and possible risks (2) to control the risks of each process activity to ensure that the work is in a safe condition. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach method with risk analysis using job hazard analysis. The results of the study identified 52 potential hazards and risks with 9 types of hazards, namely psychological hazards, mechanical hazards, electrical hazards, fire hazards, blasting hazards, physical hazards, chemical hazards, biological hazards, and ergonomic hazards derived from 7 classifications of processes or work stages in the blasting and painting work area. Prevention and control efforts are carried out to reduce the risk as a whole by using a hierarchy of control.
