FANET optimization: a destination path flow model

Abstract: Closed-loop routing in flying ad hoc networks (FANET) arises as a result of the quick changes of communication links and topology. As such, causing link breakage during information dissemination. This paper proposed a destination path flow model to improve the communication link in FANET. The models utilized Smell Agent Optimization and Particle Swarm Optimization algorithms in managing link establishment between communicating nodes. The modeled scenario depicts the practical application of FANET in media and … Show more

“…However, the UAV routing strategy does not consider possible collisions among the UAVs. Hence, to avoid link breakage during information transfer, the communication path between multiple UAVs is optimized to improve communication links in flying Adhoc networks using smell agent optimization and the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm [29].…”

“…Real-time photographs and movies recorded by drones will have a wider field of view, cover large areas, have a minimal blockage in open places, and have an adjustable alleviating view, as shown in the application scenarios in Figure 1 when operated in an ad hoc manner [10]. The photos collected by the UAVs are sent to the end system using standard FANET communication media.…”

“…To put it another way, the real-time surveillance challenge might be reframed as an aerial surveillance or area coverage problem. Static monitoring instruments, such as cameras, are employed to cover the entire region in a classic area coverage problem [1][2]. The situation is different when it comes to environmental research issues.…”

“…Watanabe et al [32] discussed the lightweight security model with the reactive routing protocol to avoid the attacks and identify the intruders in Flying Ad Hoc Networks. Sadiq and Salawudeen [33] explained the process of intermittently connected FANETs for high mobile nodes with mobility-assisted adaptive routing, and it helps to reduce the routing overhead.…”
