Abstract:Sedifloc 408 C) and non-ionic (Snf Fa 920) flocculants. Flocculation tests were carried out at jar test apparatus with six mixing paddles. In the settling experiments, the effects of flocculant type and dosage on flocculation of the fine tailings of coal preparation operation were determined. The settling rate and turbidity values were considered as the flocculation performance criteria. It is shown that the anionic flocculants were more effective especially at low flocculant dosages.
