“…Zirconia (ZrO 2 ) has outstanding chemical and physical properties that include high surface area, mechanical strength, superior ionic conductivity, high thermal stability and defect induced conductivity. [23,24] Many electro-catalysts in combination with zirconia are explored such as carbon paste electrode modified with zirconia choline chloride-gold nanoparticles, [25] tape casted sodium beta alumina and yttria stabilized zirconia heterojunction, [26] zirconia modified with Poly 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene sensor, [27] and etc.,have been prepared for improved performance of the sensor.
