Drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS) syndrome is a rare drug hypersensitivity reaction in which hematological abnormalities, particularly fever, lymphadenopathy, hepatitis, eosinophilia, atypical lymphocytes, and other visceral involvement, as well as a diffuse mucocutaneous rash, may be seen. It was first observed in 1959 after using phenytoin and was called pseudolymphoma. 1 Moreover, in 1996, Bocquet et al. defined DRESS syndrome. 2 The mortality is approximately 10-20%, indicating the importance of early diagnosis and treatment. 3 The most common cause of mortality is a liver failure. 4
