Abstract: As hemorragias digestivas estão entre as urgências mais frequentes em serviços de saúde brasileiros, com necessidade de hospitalização numa elevada percentagem dos doentes, sendo as hemorragias digestivas altas mais prevalentes que as hemorragias digestivas baixas.
