AbstractThis review tends to analyze the importance of halal animal feed from the Islamic standpoint and describes the drawbacks of non-halal. Mischievousness to animal handling during production, transport, and slaughter in states where Islam is the main doctrine has created doubts about the quality of products. Islam is a religious conviction that illustrates empathy to animals and well-being of humankind food as mentioned in the holy book Qur’an and sayings of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). In a variety of animal-based halal food products, a Muslim should be conscious of not only about the rearing organization of the animals but also the slaughtering procedure. Animal feed is the preliminary Critical Control Point to establish the halal authenticity of animal-based food products. Regardless of the recognized agenda on animal feed in Middle East Asia, impurity in animal feed ingredients is still occurring and repetitively reported by the media. Feed inflicts direct effect on the animal originated feedstuffs like meat, milk, and eggs and it has been acknowledged as the foremost cause of diseases in both humans as well as animals. Consequently, any action that is associated with the production of livestock must be intimately explored to spot any vulnerability with liable Islamic laws of food and hit upon those traditions to avoid them. The intent of this review is to appraise the halal nutritional system of animals and see whether it has any optimistic or depressing effects on the health of the customers. Our advancement will be comprehensive as we have focused on the socio-religious aspects of human health. The verdict of this review could be made as an orientation by the policymakers of emerging officially authorized business bodies for producing, importing and auction of halal animal feed according to Islamic set of guidelines.

This study aims to describe the financial management practice in Yogyakarta City, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The data in this study were gathered by using questionnaires and analyzed by a simple qualitative descriptive approach. The study was conducted in 180 mosques by using area sampling because Yogyakarta City divided into 14 districts. Three main issues are focused: budget planning, fund management, and internal control. The result shows only 37,8% mosques have budget planning. The source of fund is dominated by Friday prayer infaq, while physical maintenance is the most expenditure. More than 90% of the mosques have a simple bookkeeping and financial report, although most of the mosques have not evaluated the budget regularly. This study reveals the average of the surplus balance is Rp 45,8 million idle and saved most in the conventional bank. It could be estimated the total amount of the mosque surplus balance in Yogyakarta City approximately Rp 22 billion. The study also found that 27 of 180 mosques have an economic empowerment program for the congregation.

Pelawad Village is one of the villages in the Ciruas sub-district, Serang Regency, where the majority of the population is Muslim. Pelawad Village has eight mosques. In the management of mosque finances, based on preliminary information received from the BKPM (Mosque Youth Communication Board) it has not been carried out properly. Almost all mosques do not yet have a good bookkeeping system. This activity aims to provide simple financial bookkeeping training with the theme Financial Management Training for Empowerment of Mosque Youth. The method used in this community service activity is an action study through a training approach for youth and adolescents in the Pelawad-Ciruas village environment. To make this happen, BKPM has collaborated with several Bina Bangsa University lecturers. The partnership cooperation between BKPM and Abdimas team at Bina Bangsa University is carried out with the following agreements: BKPM is responsible for providing training facilities and infrastructure as well as coordinating training participants. The community service team served as resource persons and provided training materials. This activity has an outcome that must be achieved, namely increasing the ability of mosque-based financial management. The activity was carried out by after isha considering that the participants were mosque administrators and BKPM members who were caretakers of the mosque, and lasted for 3 days while still observing strict health protocols.
