Features of Traffic Noise Assessment at Roundabouts in Izhevsk

Abstract: The conditions of acoustic wave formation under urban development within traffic roundabouts are considered on the example of Izhevsk. The article refers to 5 single-level road interchanges, and provides the results of multiple acoustic measurements of the equivalent sound pressure level. The observations covered a different time range, typical for the daytime period. The average values vary from 66 to 68 dBA, and the maximum values range from 67 to 69 dBA. Based on the simulation results, acoustic discomfort … Show more

“…Obviously, in this case, it is necessary to take into account the complexation processes of iron and manganese with organic ligands of soil solutions. Soil solutions and surface waters differ significantly for individual groups of soils, soil and climatic conditions, and for individual geochemical provinces [1,3,5,9,11]. This determines their different biological activity and the effect on the biological activity of stimulants and inhibitors dissolving in them, fertilizers and ameliorants, the geophysical fields of the Earth, and magnetic fields created.…”

“…For comparison, the analysis took soddypodzolic medium-loamy soils of varying degrees of hydromorphism on cover loams. The research methodology consisted of assessing pH, Eh, the activity of K, NO3, NH4, Ca, Mg by generally accepted methods, assessing the concentrations of water-soluble compounds extracted from soil by ion exchange membranes, and assessing the biological activity of solutions using biotests [3,[6][7][8][9].…”

“…The fundamental concepts and techniques of spatialtemporal analysis (general geographic, physical-geographic, hydrometeorological, socio-economic, hydro ecological), as well as the synthesis of pertinent data and generalizations, were utilized to analyze the initial data (Mann 1945;Rusinov 1970;Shelutko 2007;Gagarina 2012;Chichasov 2013).…”

“…In the study of hydrometeorological and hydro chemical information, we used empirical-statistical and genetic theoretical models, methods of mathematical statistical analysis, field expeditionary observations, processing techniques of specialized databases, geographic information systems, and other methods and techniques used in practice were used [10,[13][14][15][16].…”
