Fen Bilimleri Dersi Öğretmenlerinin Doğu Anadolu Bölgesinde Yaşadıkları Sorunlar Üzerine Fenomenolojik Bir Çalışma

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the difficulties faced by science teachers working in the Eastern Anatolia region. For this purpose, phenomenological study, which is one of the qualitative methods, was preferred. The participants of the study consisted of nine science teachers working in central, district and village part of Muş province. A semi-structured interview form consisting of seven questions was used to determine the views of the participants. Miles Hubermann reliability test was used to determine the reliability of the opinions. As a result of the research, the experience period of the participants was eight years or less and a significant part of these teachers work in rural and / or disadvantaged schools. It is seen that the participant science teachers generally list the disadvantages rather than the advantages of working in the eastern Anatolia region. Disadvantageously, it means difficulties arising from the learning environment, difficulties arising from students, difficulties arising from the family. In order to solve these problems, it is recommended to strengthen teaching environments with the support of all stakeholders.
