Filial Piety in Islam and Confucianism [A Comparative Study Between Ahadith and the Analects]

Abstract: This paper concerns the issue of respect for one's parents in the context of Islamic and Confucian teachings. It is a comparative study between the teachings of these two traditions about this topic. In Islam, the concept of respect for one's parents is derived from the Quran and the ahadith of the Prophet Muhammad [S.A.W].
