First record of Chlorophanus caudatus Fåhraeus, 1840 (Coleoptera, Curculionidae) from Western Siberia

Abstract: The first record of Chlorophanus caudatus Fåhraeus, 1840 (Curculionidae: Entiminae, Tanymecini) from Western Siberia (Altaiskii Krai) is given. It is the most north-eastern find of this species. The new synonym, Chlorophanus caudatus var. simulans Faust 1897, syn. nov. to Chlorophanus caudatus, is established. The distribution map, illustrations and redescription of Chlorophanus caudatus are presented.
