So far, it has been reported from Algeria, Croatia, Egypt, Greece, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, Malta, Spain, Turkey and Tunisia (Akyol & Kara, 2012;Akel & Philips, 2014;Dulčić et al, 2014;Kavadas & Bekas in Katsanevakis et al, 2014;Tiralongo in Dailanis et al, 2016); therefore, records from Cyprus are lacking.
