Abstract: Focal hyperhidrosis can have a substantial influence on the professional, physical, emotional and social life of those affected. This becomes clear when the results of quality of life studies and Health Service Research studies are reviewed, e.g. affected patients were prepared to contribute additional money for treatment of hyperhidrosis.
