“…The nursing and medical college students in this study lacked sufficient knowledge of food safety. In contrast to earlier studies, nursing, and medical students' correct response rates were lower than 50% for the statements that "Food can be stored in the refrigerator for a long time," "Uncooked meat should be stored in the lower part of the refrigerator," and "Food that is hot and ready to eat should be stored at 65 C" (Azanaw et al, 2021;Luo et al, 2019;Mallah et al, 2023;Sanlier et al, 2012).
