“…The use of exclusively algal diets for larval rearing of penaeid shrimps is well documented (Gopalakrishnan, 1976;Emmerson, 1980;Kuban et al, 1985;Ronquillo & Yamasaki, 1985;Sanchez, 1986;Chu, 1989;Ronquillo & Saisho, 1993, 1995D'Souza & Kelly, 2000).
