Aim.: Τo investigate the Mobbing phenomenon in the workplace, Material And Methods: We investigated the Mobbing by reviewing previous international research over mobbing. The research material was accumulated after thoroughly examining former studies and reviewing the existing literature, as it was found in the bibliography, data bases, academic libraries, academic journals and the internet. Results: Through the research we tried to define this phenomenon and at the same time to study it in the workplace. Finally, we conducted a literature review from previous research in order to investigate this phenomenon and its factors. Conclusions: The current study has concluded that mobbing sadly negatively affects the recipient by creating both direct and indirect effects on various aspects of his daily life, one of which is the workplace.

This study aims to reveal the relationship between public service motivation and mobbing levels of public employees and the level of internalization of the mission. For this purpose, data were collected from 461 academics from different titles working in public universities operating in Türkiye. The obtained data were first subjected to Pearson correlation analysis and then hierarchical regression analysis. According to the correlation analysis findings, there is a statistically significant relationship between public service motivation and the internalization of the mission in the positive direction and between mobbing and the internalization of the mission in the adverse order. In the first model of the hierarchical regression analysis, it was observed that there was a positive significant relationship between the dimensions of public service motivation and the internalization of the mission. In the second model, mobbing dimensions were added to the analysis. According to the analysis results, the dimensions of attacks on self-expression and communication and attacks on professional status negatively predict the internalization of the mission. As a result, there is a statistically significant relationship between public service motivation, mobbing, and internalization of the mission. However, the public service motivations of academics who are mobbed for self-expression and communication, and professional status are negatively affected, and this may cause a decrease in the level of internalization of the mission.

Zusammenfassung. Ein wichtiges Ziel medizinischer Rehabilitation ist, berufliche Probleme zu identifizieren und den Patienten Maßnahmen zukommen zu lassen, die den Verbleib im Beruf sichern, bzw. die Wiedereingliederung erleichtern. Berufliche Problemlagen, die in diesem Zusammenhang in der Rehabilitation besondere Beachtung finden, sind lange Arbeitsunfähigkeitszeiten, Arbeitslosigkeit vor Antragstellung, laufende Rentenverfahren sowie eine negative subjektive Erwerbsprognose. Mobbing stellt in der rehabilitativen Praxis ein für den sozialmedizinischen Verlauf verkomplizierendes Problem mit hohem Leidensdruck für den Betroffenen dar. Ziel der vorliegenden Arbeit ist es, herauszustellen, welchen Einfluss Mobbing, zusammen mit anderen beruflichen Problemlagen, auf die psychosomatische Symptomatik und Arbeitsmotivation hat. Die Fragestellung wird an einer Gesamterhebung zweier psychosomatischer Fachkliniken (N = 8472) untersucht. 16.4 % aller Patienten erfüllten die durch die Trierer Mobbing-Kurz-Skala erfassten Kriterien für Mobbing. Die psychosomatische Symptomatik wurde mithilfe der Skalen „Somatoforme Beschwerden“, „Depressivität“ und „phobische Ängste“ des HEALTH-49 und die Arbeitsmotivation durch den DIAMO erfasst. Die Gesamtstichprobe wurde in vier Untergruppen unterteilt: „Patienten ohne Mobbing und ohne besondere berufliche Problemlagen (BBPL)“ (n = 2641), Patienten ohne Mobbing und mit besonderen beruflichen Problemlagen“ (n = 4440), „Patienten mit Mobbing undohne besondere berufliche Problemlagen“ (n = 288) und „Patienten mit Mobbing und mit besonderen beruflichen Problemlagen“ (n = 1103). Die Ergebnisse zeigten Mittelwertunterschiede sowohl hinsichtlich psychosomatischer als auch arbeitsmotivationaler Parameter zwischen den gebildeten Patientengruppen. Hierbei wurde deutlich, dass „Patienten ohne Mobbing und ohne besondere berufliche Problemlagen“ hinsichtlich aller Skalen am wenigsten belastet waren, gefolgt von „Patienten ohne Mobbing und mit besonderen beruflichen Problemlagen“. „Patienten mit Mobbing und ohne besondere berufliche Problemlagen“ und „Patienten mit Mobbing und mit besonderen beruflichen Problemlagen“ stellten die am stärksten belasteten Gruppen dar. Die vorliegende Arbeit verdeutlicht die Wirkung von Mobbing als Stressor, der sowohl auf die psychosomatische Symptomatik als auch auf die Arbeitsmotivation der Rehabilitanden Einfluss nimmt. Mobbingerleben sollte stärker als bisher als ein für die psychosomatische Rehabilitation relevantes berufliches Problem verstanden werden.
