Formation and properties of carbon black at high‐temperature pyrolysis of hydrocarbons and the role of ions

Abstract: The thermal decomposition of hydiocarbons during high-temperature pyrolysis is tiescribed, and the resulting formation of carbon black is explained by a radical merhanistn Structural properties of acetylene and plasma blacks determined by electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction are given.
