“…[12,13,16] It has also been demonstrated that the titanium precursor TALH adsorbed within multilayer films could form TiO 2 nanoparticles upon refluxing. Hence, the as-assembled samples were subsequently refluxed to prepare TiO 2 and TiO 2 -based composite nanomaterials.…”

“…40 Among these four polymorphs of TiO 2 , TiO 2 (anatase type) and TiO 2 (rutile type) are easy to synthesize in their pure form, and a variety of solution methods have been applied for their preparation, which include either solgel methods 1,41 based upon hydrolysis of titanium tetraalkoxides, e.g., tetraisopropoxides Ti(OCHMe 2 ) 4 in alcohol solutions in the presence of small amounts of water 4245 or hydrothermal methods 46,47 using either titanium tetrachloride (TiCl 4 ) 48 or titanium tetraisopropoxide 49 in aqueous solutions. An exceptional approach for the synthesis of TiO 2 (anatase type) was reported by Möckel et al, 50 who succeeded in forming uniform size TiO 2 (anatase type) nanocrystals by hydrothermal decomposition of bis(ammoniumhydroxolactato) titanium, (NH 4 ) 2 [Ti(la) 2 (OH) 2 ], in neutral aqueous solutions at temperatures above 100°C. It is also worthy to refer to some relevant publications reporting on selective synthesis of TiO 2 (anatase type) and TiO 2 (rutile type), their phase stability and transformation between them.…”

“…[7] Bis(ammonium lactato)titanium dihydroxide (TALH), an inorganica nd water-soluble precursor that is stable in neutrala queouss olution, hasb een found to be an interesting and convenients tarting material for fabrication of TiO 2 nanoparticles and films. [8] deKrafft et al reported the synthesis of aFe 2 O 3 /TiO 2 nanocomposite. [9] By using asacrificial template, MIL-101(Fe) crystal particles were coated with an amorphouss hell of titaniab yT ALH precursor condensation but with major loss of crystallinity.T he key structural feature in MOFs is their highly porous framework with varied topology, which is crucial for their functional properties.…”
