Frequency of inflammatory bowel diseases in patients with ankylosing spondylitis

Abstract: Background. Аnkylosing spondylitis (AS) is closely associated with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). 5–10 % of patients with SpA eventually develop inflammatory bowel disease, with Crohn's disease being more common than ulcerative colitis.
