Digital technologies are widely used in various settings, including in translator training. The advancement of digital technologies, particularly translation technologies, has altered both translator training and professional setting. The present study investigates how these technologies can empower students in their learning environment. A group of 21 undergraduate translation students at Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University conducted a series of 12-week media translation projects, consisting of social media translation and subtitling. The study results were made based on their project reports and a questionnaire to determine their attitudes towards technologies, such as Aegisub and Memsource. Based on the findings, the students showed positive attitudes towards projects and technologies. Most of them see improvements in their confidence. The projects prepared them with sufficient translation and technical skills to become professional translators, including critical thinking and teamwork skills.

Methods for determining increased maintenance of pavement structures in the city A data collection method, and methods for determining increased maintenance of pavement structures in the city, are presented in the paper. Three types of urban road network were selected for the analysis, i.e. pavement structures for the urban main road, urban road, and collection street were analysed. On-site data and laboratory test results were used in the study. After presentation of all data collected for the analysis, a technical solution for pavement structure is given, and it is concluded that an increased maintenance, i.e. full-scope rehabilitation, must be made for all three pavement structure types.

Pavement performance levels causing human health risks This study investigates performance thresholds of hot mix asphalt pavements in terms of health risks from vibrations affecting drivers of passenger cars on urban roads. The whole-body vibration values in vertical direction are measured at various riding speeds at some pavement sections that are on the pavement condition index (PCI) rating scale proposed by the PAVER system, while the vibration values (VDVz) are calculated. Evaluation results reveal that pavement performance levels have to be at least "fair" (PCI scale range between 55 and 70) to ensure that the health of human body is not negatively affected at 50 km/h riding speed during a daily 8-hour driving.
