Game Theoretic Analysis of Carbon Emission Abatement in Fashion Supply Chains Considering Vertical Incentives and Channel Structures

Abstract: Abstract:We study an emission-dependent dyadic fashion supply chain made up of a supplier and a manufacturer, both of which can reduce their own component/product emissions to serve the carbon-footprint sensitive consumers. With Carbon Tax regulation, we consider four scenarios resulting from two ways in form of adopting transfer price contract and/or introducing third-party emission-reduction service (TPERS) to enhance the efficiency of systematic emission reductions. We refine four models from these correspo… Show more

“…He et al [46] discussed carbon emissions abatement in the fashion supply chain with carbon tax regulation. Hua et al [47] studied the optimal order quantity problems of enterprises under the deterministic demand by the EOQ model; they also considered carbon cap and trade policy only and analyzed the influences of carbon trading, trading price, and carbon caps on ordering decision, carbon emissions, and the total cost of order.…”

“…Other regulatory policies including Mandatory Cap, Cap&Trade, and Carbon offset have been proposed and applied around the world [53]. Researchers also provided operations strategies and tactics to reduce pollutant emissions (e.g., [54][55][56]). In addition, companies such as Adidas, H&M, Marks and Spencer, and Nike provide annual sustainability reports from their official websites to address the issue [57][58][59][60].…”
