Garnet petrochronology reveals the lifetime and dynamics of phonolitic magma chambers at Somma-Vesuvius

Abstract: Magma chambers feeding hazardous Plinian eruptions of Somma-Vesuvius have been present throughout most of the volcano’s lifetime.
