“…Aside from reflecting the physiological status of plants, both the yield and chemical composition of such volatile blends are largely genus- and species-dependent and carry significant information about their biosynthetic systems, which highlights the effective contribution of these compounds to plant chemotaxonomy ( Wilson et al, 1992 , Ivanova et al, 2004 , Farag, 2008 , Rzepa et al, 2009 , Mamadalieva et al, 2016 , Shi et al, 2019 , Bader et al, 2014 , Bader et al, 2022 ).
