The authors' aim is to develop and confirm a reliable and valid measurement tool that can measure women's behavior to prevent sexually transmitted diseases. The study data were collected from adult women aged 18-47 years (n= 505). Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was applied to the STD scale consisting of 44 items. According to the results of EFA, 21 items were defined in the scale. The KMO value of the scale is 90.6%. In the study, the varimax rotation method was used to bring the factors together with the related items. As a result of varimax rotation, two factors with eigenvalues greater than 1 were found in the scale. The overall Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of the scale has been calculated as 0.911, 0.941 for the first sub-dimension and 0.889 for the second sub-dimension. The validity and reliability of this study has been proven according to the results of explanatory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA).

Background: Teaching and evaluating fetal development are essential for evaluating maternal and fetal health in the midwifery profession. Objectives: The present study was carried out to examine the validity and reliability of the fetal Development Assessment Information Scale (FDAIS). Methods: The study data were collected online between March 25 and May 15, 2021, via social media accounts of midwifery students with convenience sampling. 410 midwifery students were included in the study. The data were analyzed using SPSS-AMOS software version 20, descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, frequency, and frequency percentage), Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The suitability of the data for factor analysis was investigated by the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin coefficient and by Barlett's test of sphericity. Results:The content validity index of the draft scale was 87%. Kaiser Meyer Olkin test value was 0.927, and the sample was found to be adequate and appropriate. On the other hand, the Bartlett test was obtained as χ2(253) =2648,074 p<0.001, and it was accepted that the scale fulfilled the requirements for exploratory factor analysis. The scale took its final form and consisted of 23 items and one dimension due to the exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. The total percentage of variance explained was 36,50%. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the scale was 0.89 high. According to the results of the CFA analysis, when the FDAIS goodness-of-fit indexes are examined; RMSEA 0.046; While it shows acceptable agreement with χ2; GFI 0.916; CFI 0.918; It was found that it was in perfect agreement with (p=0.000). Conclusion: According to the findings, the Fetal Development Assessment Information Scale (FDAIS) is a valid and reliable measurement tool for undergraduate midwifery students in Turkey and can be used in studies.

Objective To develop and evaluate a theoretical model to explain the relationships between eHealth literacy and perception of health, and perception of pregnancy risk in pregnant women. Method This cross‐sectional study was carried out with 238 pregnant women in one of the hospitals in Turkey between March 15, 2021 and May 15, 2021. Data were collected using an Information Form, eHealth Literacy Scale, Perception of Health Scale, and Perception of Pregnancy Risk Questionnaire. Results The mean scores of the pregnant women participating in the study on eHealth literacy and perception of health were 30.45 ± 6.56 and 51.42 ± 6.91, respectively and their mean score on perception of pregnancy risk was 42.6 ± 29.38. The direct effect of the eHealth Literacy Scale on the “Risk for Baby” subscale of the Perception of Pregnancy Risk Questionnaire was insignificant whereas the scale's effect became significant with the Perception of Health Scale (β = −0.006; 0.057). Conclusion To reduce the perception of risk in pregnant women, it is important to improve not only their eHealth literacy but also their knowledge and attitudes about being healthy.
