Genera in Bionectriaceae, Hypocreaceae, and Nectriaceae (Hypocreales) proposed for acceptance or rejection

Abstract: With the recent changes concerning pleomorphic fungi in the new International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants (ICN), it is necessary to propose the acceptance or protection of sexual morph-typified or asexual morph-typified generic names that do not have priority, or to propose the rejection or suppression1 of competing names. In addition, sexual morph-typified generic names, where widely used, must be proposed for rejection or suppression in favour of asexual morph-typified names that have p… Show more

“…), and almost identical "H-NMR spectra. The differences found in the polysaccharide from N. cinnabarina and species of Sesquicillium and Nectria with Sesquicillium anamorphs were in agreement with the separation of these species according to their morphological characters (Samuels and Rossman, 1979) and support the creation of the genus Bionectria (Rossman et al, 1999).…”

“…tenue como anamorfo de Neonectria fuckeliana, lo que está en concordancia con lo señalado por Castelbury et al (2006) al proponer el cambio de la especie Nectria fuckeliana al actual género Neonectria. Estos resultados son concordantes también con la relación Neonectria/ Cylindrocarpon, delimitada en sentido estricto por Chaverri et al (2011) y reconocida luego por Rossman et al (2013).…”

“…In light of the recent change in nomenclatural rules the genus Clonostachys is proposed to be protected against Gliocladium and Bionectria (Rossman et al, 2013). No information on lack of toxins or toxicity against mammals is reported, therefore this species cannot be proposed for the QPS list.…”
