Genes for biosynthesis of butenolide-like signalling molecules in Streptomyces ghanaensis, their role in moenomycin production

Abstract: Moenomycins (Mm) – phosphoglycolipid compounds produced by Streptomyces ghanaensis ATCC14672 – are considered a promising model for development of novel class of antibiotics.
