Geochronology of the Baishi W-Cu Deposit in Jiangxi Province and Its Geological Significance

Abstract: The Baishi W-Cu deposit is located in the Nanling metallogenic belt, which is famous for its numerous W deposits and reserves. The formation age of this deposit remains unclear. In order to further infer the formation age of the deposit, this study conducted detailed LA-ICP-MS U-Pb isotopic analyses of zircon and monazite selected from ore-related Baishi granite. The LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb weighted average ages of Baishi granite were determined to be 223 ± 2 Ma and 226 ± 1 Ma, and the LA-ICP-MS U-Pb weighted av… Show more

“…The result is that antibiotics in groundwater may be converted to harmful metabolites or remain in the groundwater for a long time. For example, N 4 -acetylsulfamerazine were detected more frequently than its parent compound sulfamerazine, which could be explained by having higher solubilities and higher persistence than the parent, and some metabolites of QNs in the environment are more toxic than the parent [116]. However, some antibiotics degrade more readily in anoxic environments.…”

“…Currently, antibiotics, which mainly include quinolones (QNs), sulfonamides (SAs), tetracyclines (TCs), macrolides (MCs), chloramphenicols (CPs), β-Lactams (β-Ls), and lincosamides (Lins), have been widely used in human and veterinary medicine and are consumed in huge quantities [1][2][3][4][5]. According to surveys, the global consumption of antibiotics in agriculture ranges from 63,000 to 240,000 tons annually, and that of antimicrobials in food animal production was 63,151 (±1560) tons by estimation in 2010 [1,3].…”

“…It was composed of the amalgamation of the Cathaysian block from the southeast and the Yangtze block from the northwest along the Qinzhou-Hangzhou tectonic joint belt during the Neoproterozoic [8,9]. The Nanling region lies in the central part of the SCB (Figure 1a,b), and is endowed with a large amount of bismuth resources [2,10].…”

“…Bismuth has been identified as a significant metal in some hydrothermal deposits, however, ore deposits in which bismuth is the primary product are very rare and their main occurrences are associated components of other metal ores [1]. China hosts the largest proven bismuth reserves in the world, which are mainly distributed in the Nanling area including Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangdong, and other provinces [2].…”
