“…These data plot in the same field as the ore-related granites, showing that the ore minerals and the intrusions have the same sources. These characteristics are consistent with the conclusion obtained from isotope studies on ore-fluids from other late Mesozoic ore deposits in the EQMB Zhu et al, 2009;Han et al, 2013 andZhou et al, 2014).…”

“…The lead isotope compositions of the ore-bearing rocks (Table 5) This result demonstrates the presence of complex lead sources of rock-forming material (Qi, 2006a;Chen et al, 2009 andZhou et al, 2014). The lead isotope compositions of the K-feldspar from the ore-related granites have a relative steady range of 17.189 to 17.894 for 206 Pb/ 240 Pb, 15.381 to 15.569 for 207 Pb/ 240 Pb, and 37.655 to 38.843 for 208 Pb/ 240 Pb (Table 5).…”

“…Previous studies on the gold deposits of NCC were mainly focused along the margin of the craton, such as the Jiaodong and Liaodong gold provinces (eastern margin), the Xiaoqinling gold province (southern margin), and the JibeiJidong and Chifeng-Chaoyang gold provinces (northern margin) (Figures 1(a) and 1(b)). However, few systematic investigations have examined the geology, geochemistry, [28]). (b) Tectonic settings of the North China Craton, also showing the major gold districts in the North China Craton (after [29]).…”

“…A group of geologists considered that the gold deposits were formed in magmatic-hydrothermal processes related to the reactivation (Luan and Chen, 1990;Nie et al, 2001;Wang, 1987) or destruction and lithospheric thinning Yang et al, 2003) of the North China Craton. The other group (e.g., Chen, 2006;Chen and Fu, 1992;Jiang et al, 2009;Kerrich et al, 2000;Mao et al, 2002;Wang and Mao, 2002;Zhao et al, 2011;Zhou et al, 2014a), in contrast, proposed that the deposits belong to the metamorphic-hydrothermal or orogenic type formed during Mesozoic continental collision regime including syn-to post-collision (Chen, 2013;Chen et al, 1998). To explain the formation of the Xiaoqinling gold field, including the giant Wenyu gold deposit, Zhou et al (2014a) developed a tectonic model incorporating a northward A-type subduction along the Xiaohe Fault.…”

“…The large-sized (N20 t Au) Qiangma gold deposit is a representative in the Xiaoqinling gold field, located~4 km southeast of the Wenyu deposit (Zhou et al, 2014a), and offers a case to test the origin and tectonic setting of the Xiaoqinling gold field. In this paper we report the results obtained from ore geological, fluid inclusion and C-H-O isotope studies of the Qiangma deposit, and clarify the nature and evolution of the ore-fluid system at Qiangma deposit.…”
