“…reported that 198 of 618 cases with dermatomyositis had cancer, and of those 198 cases, 115 developed cancer after diagnosis of dermatomyositis, particularly lung, pancreatic, stomach, colorectal, and ovarian cancers, and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. 1 Testicular cancer associated with dermatomyositis, however, seems to be rare and to our knowledge, the present case is only the eighth reported [3][4][5][6][7][8] in which the symptoms of dermatomyositis improved spontaneously with regression of testicular cancer after high orchidectomy and chemotherapy.
