Funds collection zebranie funduszy Summary Physioprophylaxis is a physiotherapeutic procedure consisting in counteracting, slowing down, inhibiting or removing adverse effects associated with an incorrect lifestyle, involutionary changes and disease processes. Physical activity (PA), health education, reduction of risk factors, and functional diagnostics are used to implement these goals. Physioprophylaxis makes it possible to avoid or stop the development of functional problems or disorders. It enables the prevention of civilization diseases, aging processes and disability by performing professional and daily activities ergonomically. Physioprophylaxis introduces PA and behaviors that strengthen the factors influencing health protection by preventing health threats. The lack of theoretical studies devoted to physioprophylaxis highlights the need to examine this topic. The purpose of this article is to describe an exemplary description (the author's) of primary and secondary physioprophylaxis using PA as an integral component of physical therapy, including its tasks. Primary physioprophylaxis strives to prevent the occurrence of diseases, and is directed towards healthy people. Secondary physioprophylaxis involves patients and is a selective process that prevents the recurrence of the disease being treated and also reduces other risks to health. Physioprophylaxis focusing on health threats in healthy people has been scientifically demonstrated to maintain and strengthen the current physiological and functional state. It is also a way to minimize the scope of adverse disorders associated with diseases for people with medical conditions achieved using PA.

Introducción. El uso de caballos en la terapia tiene una historia bastante larga. Hay muchas referencias acerca de los beneficios terapéuticos de esta actividad. Estas terapias han experimentado un auge a nivel internacional en los últimos años. Sin embargo, la investigación científica sobre el uso efectivo de esta actividad en los niños con autismo se encuentra todavía en las primeras etapas de desarrollo.Método. Se evalúa el impacto de un programa de equitación terapéutica en un conjunto de variables psicosociales en un grupo de 16 sujetos con trastorno del espectro autista de 7 a 14 años de edad. El diseño del estudio fue cuasi-experimental, test-retest, con grupo experimental y grupo de control. Los instrumentos de medición fueron el "Sistema de Evaluación de la Conducta Infantil" (BASC) y un cuestionario de calidad de vida basado en un modelo están-dar que se utiliza en los contextos de salud mental. El programa de tratamiento comprende veinticuatro sesiones de 45 minutos.Resultados. Los resultados mostraron diferencias significativas en algunos de los indicadores de calidad de vida y niveles más bajos de agresividad en la batería (BASC).Discusión y conclusiones. La equitación es una actividad que se adapta particularmente bien a las características específicas de las personas con autismo, ya que se basa en una actividad individual, pero al mismo tiempo pone en juego múltiples interacciones en un contexto que es más estructurado y menos caótico que otros deportes de equipo.

Purpose:The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of exercise in the communication skills and behavior of a child with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Material:The survey involved a 7 years old boy attending a mainstream school who was diagnosed at 2.5 years of age with pervasive developmental disorder and at 3.5 years of age with ADS. The annual re-assessment, at the age of 6 defined him as a child with high functional autism. The study consisted of three phases. In the interview process through a questionnaire, data concerning the overall picture of the boy was collected. The same questionnaire was answered by all participants (parents, general class teacher, parallel support teacher and physical education teacher) two days prior and two days after the implementation of the intervention program, so as to record observations. The questionnaire investigated four areas, that is, intention or function of communication, semantic categories and use of words, context (framework) communication and ways (means) of communication. The intervention program lasted 12 weeks, at a frequency of 3 sessions per week, of 40-45 minutes each session including balance activities, self-awareness exercises, group games (3-4 people), visual -motor coordination activities, lateral movement and time and space orientation games. Results:After the implementation of the intervention program, the child showed significant improvement in all domains and in almost all subcategories. Conclusions:An individually structured exercise program results in a significant improvement in behavior, skills and communication for a child with ASD.
