Goat’s Milk (GM), a Booster to Human Immune System against Diseases

Abstract: Milk is clean lacteal secretion from mammalians shortly after parturition. GM is taken as a complete meal in human diet. GM is the only milk from milching species that possess possibility of substituting human milk. Availability of A2 casein in GM make it comparable to human milk in terms of protein. The most vulnerable ones are infants, aged people and pregnant women as their immune system could answer at any time if extra supplement is not administered. In this case, GM is only option that is highly compatib… Show more

“…Goat's milk is similar to cow's milk but differs from buffalo (and sheep) milk in taste, composition, type and amount of nutrients. Goat's milk fat particles are smaller in size as well as quantity compared with buffalo milk, so goat's milk is easier to digest and is better for children, the elderly and those with digestive disorders (Panta et al, 2021). Perhaps one of the best benefits of goat's milk is that people who do not tolerate cow's milk can consume goat's milk with fewer problems (Verruck et al, 2019).…”

“…Goat milk contains more calcium, potassium, magnesium, and chlorine than bovine milk, as well as some trace elements such as copper, iron, and especially manganese and selenium, which is mainly found in the protein fraction of milk [15,53,54]. The average concentration of major macro-and micro-elements in caprine milk is in the range of 106.00-192.00 mg 100 g −1 for calcium, 92.00-148.00 mg 100 g −1 for phosphorus, 10.00-30.00 mg 100 g −1 for magnesium, 135.00-350.00 mg 100 g −1 for potassium, 1.20-14.40 µg 100 g −1 for manganese, 1.00-8.30 µg 100 g −1 for selenium, and 0.43-4.90 µg 100 g −1 for molybdenum [8,53,55].…”

“…Selenium is one of the necessary trace materials in the body because it is antioxidative and is vital in nourishment and medicine. 25 Selenium nanoparticles (Se-NPs) have become the focus of intensive study due to their wide range of applications in fields such as antioxidants. 26 The utilization of such non-toxic biogenic Se-NPs also offers affordable and environmentally beneficial substitutes for the currently used traditional chemical fertilizers in the expanding agricultural sector.…”
