“…The in-vivo stability of the developed 99m Tc-ZT complex was confirmed by its low stomach uptake after oral administration of 99m Tc-ZT solution and transdermal application of 99m Tc-ZT-T6 gel [ 18 , 47 ]. The 99m Tc-ZT uptakes in brain, blood and liver were estimated, at predesigned time intervals up to 24 h, that were equivalent to the ZT concentrations in organs or fluid.…”

“…International Journal of Nanomedicine 2023:18 1582 or therapy) and nanoformulations to formulate nano radiopharmaceutical become an urgent necessity to be used as a theragnostic agent. 42 Preparation of Radioiodinated Clozapine ([ 131 I] Iodo-CLZ) CLZ radioiodination was performed using the oxidizing agent chloramine-T (CAT) 43 with 10 μL of Na 131 I (30 MBq). The parameters with an impact on the radioiodination yield were investigated, such as CLZ concentration (0.2-1.6 mg/mL), CAT concentration (50-250 µg/mL), pH range (3-10) and the reaction duration (5-60 min).…”

“…Inorganic NPs can be chemically synthesized using several different techniques such as co-precipitation, hydrothermal, combustion, sol-gel, chemical reduction, chemical vapor and microwave-assisted methods [ 67 , 68 , 69 , 70 , 71 ]. In this review, we present inorganic NPs that are synthesized using reducing and stabilizing agents where the reducing agent is responsible for the reduction of the metal from high oxidation states (+3, +2 or +1) to its metallic form (zero oxidation state), while the stabilizing agent is responsible for surface stabilization of metal nano materials [ 22 , 42 , 44 , 45 , 47 , 49 , 50 , 52 ]. Various NPs including AuNPs, selenium nanoparticles (SeNP), iron nanoparticles (FeNP), copper nanoparticles (CuNP) and silver nanoparticles (AgNP) were evaluated for their effective delivery of different radionuclides such as tecnetium-99m (Tc-99m), iodine-131 (I-131) and gold-198 (Au-198) to tumor sites for tumor theranostics [ 42 , 44 , 45 , 47 , 48 , 49 , 50 , 51 , 52 , 72 ].…”
